RJ07 - How are you using formal assessment results to improve your teaching and your students' learning?

Formal assessments are used after a concept is taught. Depending on my students success, I can determine:
1. If I taught this concept clearly
2. If my objectives were appropriately alligned with both my instruction and my objectives.
3. If I am expecting too much from my students without scaffolding them there.
4. Or if I am expecting too little from my students and they could do more.

Based on the results, I will determine which case is true, if any. Then I will either re-teach or change my instruction and way of teaching for the next lessons. I use formal assessments mostly to summarize the concepts that I have been teaching and assess my students understanding of them. Therefore, I have to make sure my teaching and objectives are clearly alligned with my assessments. So by using the results, I can figure this out.
